Our Favorite Supercars

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Supercar! Just like everyone has their favorite superhero, many have their personal favorite supercars. The most lavish and standout supercars include the McLaren 720S, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo, the Porsche 918 Spyder, and Ford’s GT. But what makes a supercar so “super”?

Supercars stand out by the overall quality of design, performance, technology, and value. There is no direct definition of what is considered a supercar and what is not, but if you have ever come across a picture or poster of a luxury sports car in a magazine, it is most likely a supercar. Here are a few ways to be able to identify if a vehicle is considered a supercar:

  • Typically 500+ horsepower

  • Top speeds of 150+ mph

  • Luxurious design look

  • High-end pricing ($60k+)

A few of our personal favorite supercars include:

  1. 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye:

In a matter of 10.6 seconds (the same time it takes to tie your shoelaces), this supercar accelerates to speeds of up to 129 miles per hour and can reach a maximum speed of 203 miles per hour. Known as the “demonized” version of the Hellcat, the 797 horsepower and the 707 lb-ft of torque of this supercar do not disappoint.

  1. Tesla Roadster:

Being in the running for the quickest car in the world and being a record-setting vehicle with its acceleration, the Tesla Roadster is a must-watch supercar. The Roadster can reach speeds of over 250 miles per hour and accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 1.9 seconds. Being a fully electric car, the Roadster maximizes the potential of aerodynamic engineering to provide the highest levels of performance and efficiency.

  1. 2021 Chevrolet Corvette:

Chevrolet redefines the definition of a supercar with the Corvette. Available in a coupe or convertible trim, there is luxury and comfort to be experienced. Performance is seen in its 2.8 seconds 0-60 mph acceleration, 495 horsepower, and 470 lb-ft torque. Even with its base trim, the Chevy Corvette delivers big thrills both on the road and the track.

  1. 2021 Lexus LC 500

With top speeds of 168 miles per hour and a 0-60 mph acceleration of 4.4 seconds, the Lexus LC 500 is a serious speed machine. The 2021 model of the LC offers a convertible trim for the first time, and the new elliptical steering wheel design provides optimal grip when cornering with high G-forces. The Lexus LC 500 combines luxury and performance to become a supercar ready to save the day.

  1. Mercedes AMG GT:

The Mercedes AMG GT speaks on several levels. It is a masterclass of design with its luxurious trims and is a driving machine that meets speed and performance on new levels. The engineering behind the engine of this vehicle is its primary success. Advanced beltless turbos boost the Mercedes to meet an acceleration of 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. The car offers 720 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. The Mercedes AMG GT is hands-down a car straight out of a comic book.

The same way our favorite superheroes soar through the air, captivate everyone’s attention, and travel from place to place in a matter of minutes, these supercars do the same, but on the road!
